Re: My begins belt so far

I just had a rumage through my paint cans trying to find the paint code was on the lid and I must have thrown away!! so sorry :(
I looked around at my local auto store and I guess I got lucky,The colour is always diff when you use it compared to what the lid colour is but I guess worked out ok, the colour seems to be a personal thing as diff people like diff looks is a case of how many shades of gold there are and gee...there are lots, so yeah is an automotive acrylic, acrylics are great as they dry evenly and in general I find easy to work with. The silver is a super chrome, again from the auto store. Hope that answers your question.

Well nearly done with this,Been messing with the locking mech on the belt, got some rare earth magnets..gezzz these things are strong!! have put some pix in of how Im doing my connection, I have cast the magnet in one section and used steel plate on the other, this small little magnet has a 12kg pull!!can ya tell Im impressed, lol you can see it embeded in the back shot in the pix, also have 2 steel rod liners which line up with holes in the other belt section, last pic is the mag-holding the belt up.Just trying to get a grapple gun for this belt,I wanna make a holster r sumth`n to connect it to the back plates, will see..then that will be me done.

Re: My begins belt so far

Sweet! I like the locking pins.. i actually have something similar drawn up (one of 4 ways) for my belt..

word of advise, be careful with the magnet plate.. they are super fragile.. i broke two building my guano belt, just opening and closing it (they slap together)..

This is why I abandoned the plates for rounds..

I was thinking perhaps some sort of silicon cushion??...

Impressive work..
