89 Suit... Matt or Gloss???

After doing my cape with Matt Armourall and then seeing the gloss one done by bb21016 I began to wonder which I wanted to do...

Looking at pictures of the original suit sometimes it sems to be matt and gloss/semi gloss at others!!!
A lot of the publicity photos seem to be a little more shinny...

I think the matt is a little more 'real world' but when I rub the Armourall on and it is still wet I like the shinny look... It also seems to blend together the different parts of the suit better...
Thats is with my very matt cowl and semi gloss armour...

Question is... Which do you guys think is the way to go???
Are most of your 89 suits matt or gloss???

Honestly I've thought about it myself and I'm a bit torn between the two looks.

The matte finish looks tough and stone like. A giant gargoyle come to life.

The gloss looks leathery and dangerous.

Tough call.

You could just simply decide on your favorite scene in the film and work towards that particular finish.

89 should always be matte, imo.

I would go with a matte finish.

I started doing an 89 build not too long ago, and since the RD cowl is matte, I am doing everything to match, so I am going matte.

How about this instead a kind of compromise yet you will get both. Textured gloss leather for mask and matte texture for the body suit.

If it were me, I'd go matte finish on the cowl, and regular on the body armor and cape.

When the cowl is matte, any irregularities on the surface is well hidden. But when you gloss it, any imperfections will come to life and probably ruin the over all look.

You may look like a greasy wet Batman. The only thing that should look semi shiny if ever at all, would be the chest and leg armor.
I'd leave it alone if your armor already has some sheen to it.
