MY FAVORITE FUNCTIONAL BATSUIT PARTS
Two of my own favorite functional parts are the epoxy-Kevlar-armored, steel-finned gauntlets and the metal utility belt, as shown via this link to my blog: https://intraverse1blog.wordpress.com/2015/03/15/whole-functional-batsuit/
Henry Wayne supplied the 1989-style metal buckle. Josh Silfies provided steel reinforcement for its back. And then I plated the buckle and added machined brass cylinders as combination hinges and utility containers linking the metal cases. It turned out to be surprisingly cheaper to gold-plate, rather than brass-plate the cases, and they were then striped with golden acrylic tape.
Metal fins on the gauntlets aid in climbing and hooking around, and sliding along, downward-slanted metal cables.

Re: MY FAVORITE FUNCTIONAL BATSUIT PARTS
Great to see long-time members post here! Welcome back Apocalypton! I love functional Batsuits, my favorit part is the Belt, it reminds me of the golden-age Batbelt and I love the functionality and the look very much! A fantastic work of art!

Re: MY FAVORITE FUNCTIONAL BATSUIT PARTS
Thanks good bro, and buddy Uncle Ed kindled my return. The Golden Age concept was the original belt inspiration, and a Jim Lee comic cover gave me the idea that the cylinders could serve as hinges. Some more engineering led to cylinder caps with lubed O-rings seated in machined races, so the cylinders could be securely sealed and also opened up fairly easily with Bat-gloved hands. And after lots of effort and testing, it all finally worked!
OT: Is there a free and easy way to insert images in a post, as you probably do, now that Photobucket charges? I'd like to start another thread on a functional winch and post pics directly.

For pictures-posting I use imgur.com . You have to register, its free. You can drag and drop to upload the photos, then you click on the thumbnail and the full photo will be shown, then you click on "large thumbnail" in the down right corner menu, then you choose BB code for forums , and you copy and paste the link directly in the message box here on the BOTB and the photo will show.

Re: MY FAVORITE FUNCTIONAL BATSUIT PARTS
Okay, here's a test for a pic of Bat Winch components:
Thanks, and I'll now create a thread for a Functional Bat Winch.

Re: MY FAVORITE FUNCTIONAL BATSUIT PARTS
Cool, Brin. We should also someday work out the grapnel shooter to couple with the winch. And your brutal Apoc cowl remains my winner!
