I know Dave (the Bathound) scuplted a close version of the '89 cowl in '89.
Don't know about a full suit though. :huh

I always thought it was Brin but I do not know for sure. Good question. I do think he beat me by a couple of years though.

Re: WHO WAS THE FIRST BRO!!!

This is going to be fun...I have pics of my first 89 suit somewhere...just cant find them here on this computer..I know I finished it before June of 89 because that's when the movie came out.

*****(not summer of 88..that was an error)*****.

I'll post them as soon as I find them:). I remember Ratgin commenting on how I had used G.I Joe missles for the belt tubes....hahahahahaha

In the meantime....

This was my first full Panther suit even though I had made others before this one...THIS was my first COMPLETE suit...Sculpted it while keeping the VCR on Pause while living in Italy...TV was upstairs, my closet was downstairs....LOL

Image

This was my first Robin...never did finish that one. I am however working on this suit now. Brand new sculpt might I add...LOL
Image

And these were some custom Panthers I did back in 94/95...the blue/grey one has a latex cape and an older Returns cowl I did from way back in 91 I think..

Image

LOL.....nice walk down memory lane...lukily skills improve over time..hahahahahahah

Enjoy!!

I'm not sure who the first bro was to put together a batsuit but I DO know that it was Steve (Streetjudge's) batsuit that inspired me to create the BOTB to begin with.

There were a few custom pieces with it but there were some licensed ones as well. It was that suit that made me realize and see that a great looking batsuit was and is a reality.

Yes! Steve was the first to put together a really impressive Returns suit that inspired pretty much everyone, including myself that it was possible to have a suit that looked exactly like the movie.

Awww...look at the young short-haired David. emoticon

Re: WHO WAS THE FIRST BRO!!!

I can't answer the question at hand but I remember when I first came across 3 sites all on the same day and was blown away ! Those three sites were Brins Belfry site with his how to http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Makeup/1946/howto.html

One that was called I think the " Bat guy " ?? This fellow had a kick ass 3lb emblem that he had poured using resin.. killer site ... Does anyone remember who I am talking about?

the other which knocked my socks off was Batwarrior's suit on Uncle Ed's site..... http://www.geocities.com/dark_knight_ct2001/Index2.htm

If you have never seen those two sites above, do yourself a favor and check out some history.....
