Just saw Superman: Brainiac Attacks... Eh...

Well, I gotta say. As much as I liked the idea of the return of Tim Daly as Superman, that was about all the show had going for it. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy it more or less. It just could have been a whole lot better. Aside from Daly and Delany, the acting was weak. The story was okay. And the music score was really flat. Lex and Brainiac were so far out of character that it was grating to listen to.
All in all, I'd give it a C-. Not nearly as well done as it should have been, IMO.
Sorry to rain on any parades out there. I was disappointed.

Re: Just saw Superman: Brainiac Attacks... Eh...

That movie sucked, and here's why:

1) TERRIBLE writing. Nowhere near the quality of narrative / dialogue we're used to seeing in the DCU. Very childish.

2) Luthor was voiced by a very different actor who it seemed was trying to do the flamboyance of Kevin Spacey's version but it came out all wrong and Luthor sounds like a fairy.

3) Brainiac has way too much of a mustache-twisting evil genius personality. Nothnig at all like the cold, emotionless machine we saw in Superman:TAS and JLU.

I was really looking forward to seeing a direct-to-video Superman animated film, hoping it would be on par with Ultimate Avengers (very good), or even Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (it would be impossible to be as good as Phantasm, but they could at least try). Needless to say I was disappointed.

Well, that sucked BIG TIME.
Hope no one else saw it.
I regret posting that it was even [sign in to see URL]'s not my fault!
I had to fast forward through most of it, it was so bad. And why did this story not pick up where Justice League left off?

   That movie sucked so hard.

The animation wasn't all that great. The acting was terrible. What was up with Lex. It sounded like he was trying to sound like the Joker.
Looks like they threw that together just because of the movie coming out in theaters.
That movie gave the entire "Animated Series" a bad name.

Rent the Batman/Superman movie if you want to see something good.
