Brids of Prey TV

hi Guys,

I started getting the series but I haven't watched it yet.
I was wondering what you (true batman fans) think about it in all objectivity (riiiight)
thanks :)

I liked it. Pretty much feel it didn't get a fair shake. There were some issues with it like that whole "meta-human" BS but I think if they gave it a fair chance to grow it would have gotten better. Most fans were disapointed in it because IMO they just wanted to see Batman and that's not what it was all about.

Birds of Prey was a deeply flawed series. It had good ideas and many of the plots had something. However, I did not appreciate the lack of adherence to the comic, nor the lack of masks. And I did not appreciate Catwoman being killed off.

That said, Dina Meyer did good work as Oracle, and Mia Sara did well as Harley Quinn. I also liked Ian Abercrombie as Alfred. Indeed, he might have been the best performer of the bunch. I have profiles of Maggie Baird (Catwoman) and Ashley Scott (Huntress) on my site, under "Catwomen."

I'll have to agree with those statements. They were the only reasons I kept tuning in.

Dina Meyer rocked my world! I watched every episode in the hopes she'd put on the batgirl suit! The "Lady Shiva" episode was my dream come true! If only she were 15 years younger...

It was fantastic to see Batgirl back in action again in the "Lady Shiva" episode. That had to be a high point in the series. I would enjoy seeing a new live-action Gotham City-based series again, whether it's the Birds of Prey or Catwoman ... or one certain Caped Crusader!

Agreed, Dina Meyer was good as Oracle, and if they ever did Batgirl in a movie I'd like it to be her.

The only episodes of Birds of Prey I ever made a point to watch were the pilot (cuz of a flashback that showed Batman, Joker, and Batgirl), and the episode with the original Black Canary (played by Lori Laughlin).

To sum this show up, its basically "Charmed" with superheroes instead of witches. But the girls aren't as hot.
