Spandexman - Opinions
I know this has been discussed a lot, but I can't find the answer in the arhives or any other articles...how is the quality of spandexman for a comic style suit? THe emblem looks cheesey and I think the suit is shiny. The price is right though, and I'm not concerned about the long wait to ship.
So compared to finding another style suit for comic style and making your own emblem, will this be decent?
Thanks
Trevor

Re: Spandexman
It is shiny and he does only do the one emblem. I tried many times to contact him about doing a different one and never got a response.
The price is low, but personally, I'd spend the extra money and go with Spandexoutfitters.com for a custom made suit or River's Edge Dancewear for a plain one and put the emblem on yourself.

Re: Spandexman
I have one of Spandexman's grey suits without the emblem. It's the exact same one as the Batman one, only with no chest insignia. It's pretty shiney but good quality. I got it without the emblem because I didn't like the one he uses, it looked like it was mounted way too high on the chest, and I wanted to be able to use whatever emblem I wanted at any time. After getting this suit, I now would prefer a less shiney alternative, but it is a nice suit if that's what you're looking for. I need to find some decent trunks to go with it now to complete the comic look...

Re: Spandexman
Get the one without the logo and ask him to do it inside out for you, that's what I did and the shiny problem was gone. :batfly

Re: Spandexman
I got this one
in Bal Togs Nylon/Lycra Charcoal, and I asked them to remove the hands. It was one of my first suits before I got one custom made and it made for a pretty good comic style look.

Re: Spandexman
Just an aside, if you're unsure about sizing, just call the company (I used River's Edge) and tell them your measurements and they'll tell you what size to get. I didn't know when I got mine, and the lady patiently waited while I measured myself, and then told me what I should order. Plus she said, "Those are your proportions? You must be pretty." So bonus points to them for that. :lol
