Flexible Armor that Hardens on Impact
A nice follow up to my MIT memory fabric article. This one talks about a new type of material that turns into armor on impact. It's being used at the Winter Olympics by skiers this year. :toocool

corn flour + water in the right ratio creates a REALLY weird substance that on impact becomes solid.
i wouldn't be surpriced if thats where they grabbed the building blocks for it.

I think I posted this before in the "real batman" costume thread, but Auburn University invented a ballistic fabric that will stop a bullet.
