Beatty/Keaton-Style Latching Belt - Pics & Rundown

Inspired by Scott Beatty’s concepts that take off from Batman 1989 and Batman Returns, this functional utility belt includes:

- Compartment covers [BK3 molded in epoxy-satin] from Janty’s urethane belt, Industrial-Vecroed and superglued to metal case lids.
- Concealed [BK3] steel compartments that are 3.25” long x 2.25” high x 5/8” deep.
- [BK3 no longer uses BK1, 4-lb-pull magnets and Velcro®-loop hinging with snapping cases.]
- 4” tall x 0.59” diameter metal cylinders, with bullet caps and [tubular] inner chambers.
- Brass-plated steel hinges linking all compartments, cylinders, buckle and catch.
- All metal hardware, mostly steel.
- Recessed seatbelt buckle and catch. Pressing the central button releases the catch.
- Bolted and superglued steel-clip attachment of cylinders to linking hinges.

Now that Runboard is more restrictive on allowed memory for basic posts... [NO! CORRECTED BY 04/08/2005 EDIT, AND ADDED BK3 PICS BELOW.]

Zane...what do you mean "Runboard is more restrictive on allowed memory for basic posts"?

Nice looking belt BTW! :up

SMOKIN! Zane brought over that metal belt he had been working on and he did an amazing job with it. Man, with the belt I gave you attached that is soooo nice! Great job bro!

Thanks so much bros, your encouragement keeps me going while so many of you keep working so well in creating fabulous stuff.

Tim: According to the latest Runboard control panel, a basic account can post only 10k and most pics are more than that. To test yours truly’s basic one, here’s a 90k pic -- showing entire functional suit -- including Kevlar® armored Janty cowl (also with 2-way radio and electronic listener); and Kevlar armored: DAVIDYR1 chest/shoulders/Nitestar gauntlets with Apoc arm-guards and Hatch Kevlar glove liners/groin cup/inner-tights-pocket thigh guards/inner-pocket Jants-Kevlar knee guards/Foxwood boots; and Nomex® cape/tights/facemask; and metal chambered B-K-style belt:

Jants: Thanks for hangin’ in there with me, guy! You’re such a terrific artisan who keeps inspiring all who are lucky enough to experience your work.

Mark: Hey let’s see that 89 Arm Ram, bro! Have you started it?

Jason et al.: I really appreciate your enthusiasm, as we all try to improve over time.

Man, I really dig that belt you've got going on Zane.

I'm not sure what the runboard control panel means by that, but since your pic showed I'm guessing that we'll all still be ok to post as many pics as we want to. Post away big guy :up :pics :pics :pics :up
