Re: PLEASE ANSWER: Is this belt good?
For the money, they're great. I used one last year for a comic style bat suit & it worked out very well - I think I paid 7 or 8 dollars for it at Party City. The pouches are functional. The main problem I had with it is that the pouches aren't glued down all that well. I had to reattach mine after last Halloween as they were starting to separate from the belt. Some of the bro's here have taken these & painted them with yellow Plasti-Dip & have modified them to look really good. But, for the 8 or so bucks you'll spend on it, its worth it. You can't come close to a custom, or a licensed movie belt for that matter, for what you'll pay for one of these.

Re: PLEASE ANSWER: Is this belt good?
That's good to hear!!! I definately plan on modifying it, like giving it a more goldenrod yellow or gold look with a new belt buckle, being as I'm making a TNBA suit.

Re: PLEASE ANSWER: Is this belt good?
Yeah, if you paint it with a nice, even color & put a new buckle on it, you'll have a killer belt for very little expense. Not too shabby...

Re: PLEASE ANSWER: Is this belt good?
Let's put it this way. The belt like it is is crap. However if you do put some time into it you can make it great.
You would not be able to make one for as cheap as you can buy it. (I got one for $5!) Go to Target if you can. They had some the last time I went there.
Of course like the other brothers said, you will definately need to re-paint it. Also, the pouches do come off so I would think of getting a new belt to go with it. I am modifing mine and will post some pics when it is done.
Good luck!

Re: PLEASE ANSWER: Is this belt good?
Ok, I just got back from the mall and I got the belt. I have to say, I love it!!! Don't worry- I am DEFINATELY going to modify it. I want to fill in the back of the original buckle (not sure what will be used yet) and put a thin piece of wood that I got at Michaels over it. Then I'll paint it with a goldenrod yellow and I'm good to go! Also about the pouches- what should I use to glue them down for good? Krazy Glue?

Re: Edit: Got the belt, but I have one more question...
crazy glue, bondini, epoxy...they all should work. You may want to consider replacing the belt part of it with a sturdier belt, and maybe replace the buckle with another one as well.
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with in the way of modifications.

Re: Edit: Got the belt, but I have one more question...
Thanks Tim. I actually think the belt part itself is pretty good- maybe adding something to the back to make it stronger will be good. The only major modifications are the paint, pouches and buckle, but if I feel any more mods should be made, you'll see it when it's finished :up Thanks again, everyone.
PS: The Bat-throwing-star and Bat-grappling-hook that came with the belt are pretty cool!!! I'm definately using the throwing star!
