Modifying Motorcross Boots
Has anyone tried modifying motorcycle boots to use with their suit?
I have a couple pair of nice Fly boots i'm working on modifing and was wondering if anyone else tried anything similar. They aren't too heavy and very sturdy but there is hardly any ankle movement.
Right now I'm working on sanding the logos off and Plasti Dipping them black, and then I plan on adding logos to the top. Will have pics soon. :batfly

I got a pair of biker's boots, with 4 buckles at the side. Works fine. Makes a nice 'clink' sound when I walk too.

Having not worn motocross boots, how easy are they to walk in? given the massive ankle support, would the be like ski boots? remember, comfort should be considered if you'll be moving around alot.

They are really comfortable you just can't bend your ankle too much. Once you get used to walking in them you are fine. It takes alot to get the leg to full extended Batman pose but beside that they are fairly functional.

Re: Batman Boots Mod Motorcycle boots
Hello, I'm new here but I wanted to say that I've tried the motocross boot route..It looks cool but is not worth the lack of mobility. They are great for what they are designed for-but that's not walking! To the gate or to walk the track a lap is one thing but to walk in for extended periods will not be pleasant.I actually cut mine for the upper section and attached them to tactical/combat boots. The upper I used a elastic "gator" to keep them in place, also attaching the upper/lower boots together.Warning: cutting motocross boots is only recomended if you dont want to ride in them again. Good luck with whatever you decide to use!
