Wal-Mart Batman Boots - Opinions

Hi, I am new to the board and working on a Hush/Animated series costume for Halloween.

I was wondering if anyone else had purchased the $15.00 boots Wal-Mart sells. I did and they work except for the tops being too big. I was wondering if there was a way to fill these out.

I just scoured Walmart.com no pictures :nope

They are not leather but latex or plastic rubber.

Guys I do believe these are women's boots. If they're the ones I think they are then yeah they're a pretty good batman boot. I bought a set for my girlfriend's Batgirl suit.

You aren't talking about gum boots are you? I've got those, and you can take out the slack in the rear of the boot. Cut a slice down the back. Overlap the slit to the size of your leg. Draw a line where they line up with a piece of chalk. Get sticky velcro and place it on the inside part of that line and you are all set.

I've got gumboots myself, using the same technique. Mine however are using boots spats (97 style) over the top of them too. Now I can just pull them on and off.

Hope the idea helped.

I am going to use the galoshes from Wally-World for my son's Robin costume. Thanks for the tip on taking up the slack. I was just thinking of how to do that tonight!!

Great timing!

For bigfooted bats, Wal-mart has a camo hunting boot that has just come out.
If you Plasti-dip it black, I believe it would make a great bat boot.
It's a little more pricey, I believe they were in the 65.00 to 70.00 range, but when I first saw them, I thought "Great superhero boot".
I'm sure they are waterproof, and much more rugged than the ladies boot.
Of course Mrs. Brin was with me, so I didn't stop and examine them very closely.
:grumble
But I'll go back tonight.
hee hee hee...
