How To Clean a Cowl
Hey Guys I currently have a latex Cowl & the inside is starting to smell like a combo of sweat & Latex :sick (Stinks) was wondering how I can safely Freshen it up on the inside
Don't want to use any chemical that would breakdown the latex. Is hand washing soap & water ok without risking damage to the Cowl? How about Dish washing soap?
Thanks
-Allen

Baby shampoo is the best.

Re: Freshening up the inside of a Cowl?
I use baby powder on the inside of my latex gloves and tried it on the inside of my cowl one day. So far it has not hurt it...so far!

Mild detergent and water, then Febreze and baby powder lightly.

Hand wash in mild detergent and warm water, let drip dry.

Re: Freshening up the inside of a Cowl?
Thanks is there anything I can use to keep the latex on the inside of the Cowl from being so sticky. I have to wet the inside & my hair just to get it on because it doesn't slide, I used to have a urethane Cowl but traded it for a latex now I'm wishing I still had my urethane Cowl. I never had to wet the when I put it on....

Re: Freshening up the inside of a Cowl?
It really grips my skin when I'm putting it on... It's impossible to put it on without wetting the inside of the Cowl first, because the latex grips my skin & pulls my hair. Maybe one of these days I'll lern to sculpt & make my own Cowl! I'd like to make a Urithane Cowl. The urithane Cowl was tight when putting it on but never griped my skin like the latex one does... Anyone else have this problem anything I can coat the latex on the inside of the Cowl with to keep it from sticking so much?
