Thanks for the comments guys!

Most of the design, especially the length of the fins, was just a matter of personal taste. Like I've mentioned, some of my favorite renditions of Batman have the extra long fins. I think Tim Sale draws them long if I remember rightly. And there is one scene in Batman: Abduction, where it shows Batman, in silhouette, on his grapnel, holding on with both arms, and the long fins make him look very menacing. That was particularly inspiring in this design.

As for the comment about different sized arms, I have to admit I was kinda seeing who would pick up on my joke :p

I've plasti-dipped both of them, and not only did it get rid of the spots, but they look so much sleeker and more even now, with everything having the exact same finish. I'll post pics tonight.

Those are incredibly cool and innovative. I love the design... I may have to give a pair of those a shot. I have a pair of gloves that would look great with a set of those. I was going to make some pleather gauntlets to go with them, but I may just try your way for something different. Very nice!

Here you go boys and girls, theyre completely plasti-dipped. No hard water stains anymore, just shiny black bracers in all their bat-armor goodness.

And a typical Batman-ish arms folded pose:

Can't wait to see them with the full suit.

yeah... almost took a chunk off my doorjam with those fins...
 :doh

I'm surprised it didnt scratch the fins at all.

I took them to work yesterday to show them off, and a girl tried them on and told me, 'these aren't very comfortable', to which another responded, 'I dont think theyre built for comfort'. He's partly right, of course, BUT - she had it flipped around such a manner that the back fin would poke her bicep if she could bend it far enough... but she couldn't, because the elbow section kept her from bending her arm very far! :raiseeybrow

Your gauntlets turned out great! I'm glad you were able to find some Sintra. Mine are sprayed with that plastic paint by Krylon, what is plasti-dip? Is it more scratch resistant and durable? Mike
