Etched Gauntlet One - Pics

Hey Bros,

Well finally got one of the gauntlets done painted and ready for molding so I can cast up a positive for vaccu-forming.... Just wish I didn't have to sculpt the other one... :(

Enjoy.

Oh and some new pics I took of the cowl Hydro-cal Master positive... Still have to mold this baby up and cast it out of wax So I can get the seamless mold I want.

That is friggin' awesome! Man, I think your suit is gonna be the best original design we've seen in a long, long time. Maybe ever... When it's all finally put together, it'll kick some glutes, that's for sure! :up :up

Are you going to do an original cape design, or will you just use one that you already have? I'm sure you'll do original legs & boot armor to match as well (if you haven't already). In any case, the direction you're going is really nicely thought out and well designed. Great continuity throughout the pieces so far...

This is going to go down as one of the greatest original/custom suits ever! So the gauntlets are going to be hard plastic? Excuse my ignorance about vacuu forming, very cool!

The Gauntlets are going to be formed from a material called PVC foam... it's a hard material kind of like styrene but better... I'm thinking they'll be formed from 1/4 inch or 3/16... OH an for those who want realism (umm Apocalypton) there is a material for vaccu-forming which is bullet-proof.... :) Not that I plan to use it, but it does exist... thought of casting them from resin... but it's just too much of a pain in the a$$... As for the cape design I think I may just go with the standard 8-panel design... Can't really think off something to top it (that wouldn't be a huge pain in the butt)... Oh I'm not doing leg armor.. like I've said time and time again, the armor in the film is going to be worn under the costume like a vest... similar to broken city... However it will be seen as a vest in the film...those whom have read the script so far know what I'm talking about... Speaking of the script I'm plugging away on it... think I got about 40 or so more pages to go... Geez it never ends :)
