Re: Here's my idea for gloves

I was thinking of using them as a basis for my Animated style costume, also thinking of putting in a zipper to give a look like Dead End.

Re: Here's my idea for gloves

Has anybody tried using copper flashing as a forearm guard, sprayed with Plasti-Dip?

I've got butt-loads of fairly thick guage copper and find it to be the easiest metal to work with. It may bend more than most metals, but it's not like I'm trying to deflect bullets with it. :)

Whadya' think?

Hee hee. "Get her." That was your whole plan. I like it; it was scientific.

Re: Here's my idea for gloves

I guess the copper stuff would work OK... I make forearm armor out of 26 ga. sheet metal & it works very well. Still pretty easy to work with & gives a pretty stiff, realistic feel. Again, I wouldn't try any bullet deflecting ala Wonder Woman with them... I think they'd be fairly effective against a strike or blunt object. There would definitely be battle damage though... I may try to make a set out of like 18 ga. or heavier sheet metal reinforced with epoxy kevlar. THAT would be cool!
