Easy Arm Brace Pattern
Hi guys, here's the pattern I came up with that I used for my arm braces. Works with any material you might want to use, of course. I hope this is of some help to some of you.

Re: Easy arm brace pattern
Me too Belmont. Thanks for sharing that Patrick. I may have to try a set of those. Right now, I have a pair of leather gloves and some licensed '89s that I overhauled. I also have a pair of nice motorcycle gloves that I think would do well with a set of gauntlets like this.

Re: Easy arm brace pattern
I'm thinking, this pattern could be easily adapted to Begins gauntlets. On the movie suit it looks as if each gauntlet were cut through at an angle to create the shape at the back end that covers the elbow. It looks like a perfectly planar cut to me. I'm thinking that if you were to replace the elbow end on my pattern with a "sine wave", then you could get that same effect. I'm going to experiment with that. God knows, I have enough sintra to play around with. :)
Another thing I would like to learn how to do is to replcate the intaglio etching on the gauntlets. Now that would be freaking awesome.
