I need advice as this is the first time ive done anything like this. So i guess the question is how do you deal with a load of screaming 5 yr olds hahaha.

Thanks guys

Be prepared to tell some stories about doing battle with the Joker. Keep it light though. You might want to consider borrowing a plot line from the 60's show.

It would be nice to get an instant camera so the kids can get pics you can then sign with something like "Be good. Your pal, Batman"

Remember, some of the kids will love you and want to hug you, some will be afraid of you. Kids recognize a guy in a suit and some will be able to put aside their disbelief and believe that you are Batman, some just won't know what to make of you, and some will say things like "you're not Batman" Just roll with those.

Good luck and have fun!

Wear a cup! Invariably, some out of control kid will come up and punch Batman in the nards!!! :beatup

Be sure to make a grand entrance to WOW them - having the Danny Elfman theme playing never hurts... Just command respect, exude authority, and try to maintain control as you visit with them. Depending on the ages, thry not to be TOO scary. Just have fun and be sure you talk with the brithday child's parents to see what their game plan is and how you'll fit into that. If you can get a list of how many kids will be there, you could always go the extra "mile" and make up some Batman themed goody bags to hand out while you're visiting with them. If you want to have some sort of organized presentation for the kids, you could always just have them sit down and have a Q&A session with them or talk about basic safety, etc. Kids will ask you if you can fly, where's the batmobile, where's Robin, if you're the REAL Batman, etc. Just know how you'll answer those beforehand. Batman can't be stumped or caught off guard you know... Find out what the parents' expectations are as well... As I said, have fun, become the BAT and tell us how it goes!

Oh and we want to see PICTURES!!!!!!

Good advice from the guys so far.
I don't like to see a smiling bat, but when dealing with the little ones, a closed lip smile can go a long way. If you have one that doesn't want you to get too close, just give them room, and most likely before the party is over, they'll be asking you questions too.
Oh, and BTW...You flew in to your local airport in the Batwing, and someone picked you up and brought you to the party.:wink
