needing help setting up

welcome to the cave! i'm not sure exactly what you need help setting up (avatar? signature line?), but if you'd like to show pics i would recommend http://www.photobucket.com/ to host your pics. you just upload them there, and then put the link where they've been uploaded to into your post with image tags around it.
for instance, to show this pic, you would upload it to photobucket, then copy the URL into the post with image tags around the URL. here is how my URL looks, i've just put spaces between the image tags and the URL.

if you remove the spaces, you get this
