Dead End Cowl - First & Second Sculpt Pics

Here it is again… the first attempted at the Dead End cowl resulted in a mold gone bad it might have been fixable, but the number of pulls would have been limited and in bad shape. So while asking for help on the bad mold in the LOH chat Bob D (youngbat) step up and gave me some advice. (And I have to say with out that advice I might have moved on from the Dead End and looked at it as a failure) First he told me what went wrong then he suggested I redo the sculpture from scratch. I though about this and knew how bad I wanted the Dead End cowl and begun again it was hard scraping what was left of the original sculpt, but Bob was right this is the best way to do this after about a week I had all the form back and better then the first sculpt much more accurate and shortly after that it was finish and I must say I am excited cause this to me looks like Dead End its kind of scary. I chose the Dead End because it’s what brought Batman back to me when I first caught a glimpse of Dead End a little over a year ago it got me thinking if I can’t have the suit I wanted I could at least do one like that which to me was just as beautiful. Little did I know the world of costuming excited to such a high extent I soon discovered the BOTB and discovered the possible. This sculpt brought me a passion I never knew I would have had and to Sandy C. for his vision and Henry A. for his beautiful sculpture I thank you. And huge thanks for Bob D who I owe for his motivation and kind words towards my sculpture and help on his free time with out that my Dead End would have been a Dead End.

keith, that looks fantastic! i'm glad to hear you decided to continue pursuing what you truly wanted instead of calling it quits after one setback. and it must be even more rewarding knowing that this sculpt is even better. can't wait to see the finished product, i'm sure it will be beautiful.
