Monster Makers Armature - Opinions

OK, is the full size armature any good? Also, I think some of you guys have them so could you help me out with some measurments? I need to know how big the head is, I have a 23" head and also a 16.5" neck so if someone could tell me the armature measurments that would be great. I emailed MM a couple of weeks ago with the same question but never got a reply so i thought i would ask you guys :up Depending on what comes back from this Q, i will either get one to sculpt my cowls on or get the stuff to cast my own head and shoulders.
Im not trying to cut corners, I know how to make a life cast of someones head, but explaining how it works to someone ELSE is not gonna be easy as i cant do it myself lol

Thanks a bunch people ! emoticon

Dude.

It's a decent armature but way small for you or me. I have a 23 1/2 head and 18 1/2 neck and I'm using one but I have lots of clay on it. I would say that as is it's about a 22' head and maybe 14' neck. I have mine sculpted up to about 26" in the head and 20" in the neck. (to account for shrinkage in the molding and casting process) I've also beefed up the shoulders to about 50" just for fun.

Like Ed said. I like it, but you have to sculpt quite a bit larger if you want it to fit.

I enquired with them about a year ago and they said there was no way they could ship internationally. I can only speak from personal experience, but I didn't think they were very helpful at all.

Thanks for the info guys. I was surprised they didnt bother to answer me, but maybe there were other reasons lol I still dont know what i'll do, like i said I would have to explain to someone else what to do which is what Im not looking forward to lol They DO ship internationally now but the cost is pretty hefty. I need to find somewhere in the UK that sells the stuff, so far I havent had much luck.

Thanks guys :up

I'm actually just as surprised as you that they didn't respond. They're usually pretty good about that.

So was I Brad, I thought they would respond pretty quick. They have great supplies on their site and I will ask again and see what happens.
