Gluing Latex Gauntlets to Leather Gloves

I just bought a pair of leather motocycle gloves. The area across the knuckles looks pretty much like the ones on my Rubies latex gauntlets. My plan is to cutt off the glove and attach the cuff or sleeve part. What kind of glue should I use. Also how the heck to I make the fins look a bit neater. The mold was pretty bad. If I'm asking a stupid [sign in to see URL] [sign in to see URL] my first time.

Welcome to the cave! You could use Goop for gluing; but with time, and working bit by bit to improve this and that, you'll probably grow increasingly dissatisfied. Better to find some custom superhero gloves and bite the bullet if you can.

Goop is an adhesive. And it's just called Goop. You can probably buy it at any home improvement store, or Wal Mart, that kind of place. Here's a page with exciting info!!!

You might not have to use any glue. Below are Rubies B&R gloves that I cut the hands off and ran the glove through THEN put on. The tightness of the glove held the whole thing together.

For my outfit, I'm getting some long-cuffed gloves and tightening the vambraces over them when I put them on. It should do the trick. If it needs more securing than that I'll just use a bit of velcro.

Matt is doing exactly what I did years ago. The Rubies gauntlets will stay in place over your moto gloves.
That's a great glove starting point.

You can probably repair them. Do you have a pic you could show us?

[sign in to see URL] have access to a digital camera. Apparently the Rubies molds from Mexico are really not the best in the world. The fins are kind of mushy looking instead of being sharp. The photo above with the moto gloves attached are the same gloves, but the fins look much sharper in those pics. I will try to get a camera and take some shots so you can see what I mean. Thanks again for all your help.

Have you tried stuffing the inside of the fins?
If not, take some tissue, and stuff them to see how they look. If you like the way they look, you might want to get some Crayola Model Magic and fill them. You can get that at Wal-mart.
But be advised, CMM usually dries overnight with air, but if you fill cowl ears, or fins, it takes considerably longer due to thickness.
