links don't appear to be working

I went to my profile and was checking my 'recent posts.' When I clicked on several of the links I got a page telling me that the page didn't exist. Here is an example

Can someone shed some light?

Re: links don't appear to be working

I think it has something to do with the new improvements to runboard. The newsletter they sent out today said...

"[sign in to see URL] proudly announces a major milestone - RBNS (standing for Runboard New Structure).

This means deep changes in how your data at [sign in to see URL] is handled. Dramatic speed improvements are visible in several areas, such as moderation or posting. This also means your board on [sign in to see URL] can now have up to 190 forums and 2 billion posts!"

The structure of the links seems to have changed. The link you posted ended with "t6863". I always assumed the "t" stood for "thread" and the number was the actual number the thread was.

That same thread now has the address of [sign in to see URL]

I'm assuming the "f4" means "forum" and it's number, probably based on how things were originally set up before we messed with the structure of the forums & renamed them. If you click on the Main Forum, you'll see "f4" at the end of the address. The Costume Vault will say "f3", Ebay will say "f7" and so on.

I guess the "t" after it still stands for "thread", but I can't say what the number indicates, since it's radically different from the original number.

Anyways, I guess this means that any bookmarked threads will be useless. I can't say how it will affect threads in the archives that have links within them to other archived threads, although I'd venture that they'll be broken, too. :grumble
