Thanks! Is resin strong enough to hold that kind of weight? These batarangs are pretty heavy.

Re: Display for Henry's Sonar 'Rang
I know all about not having access to the tools you need...:beatup I wasn't at all slamming your design - I hope you didn't think I was being critical - you just got me thinking is all! Just think of the possibilities of putting more lights beneath the floating bat with maybe even a few mirrors to reflect the light outward to completely illuminate the perimeter of the bat. I'm no expert on lighting systems, but you get the idea. Lots of possibilities. Also, the Panther emblem is my favorite & I'd like to see it on just about anything really...:lol I really like your idea and I think what you've done looks great. BTW... Returns is my second favorite movie emblem! :up

I wasn't thinking you were criticizing me, so not worries. It's just that I know that there are folks out there who would say "drum sander? You pussy, whaddya need that for?" because they can sand something at a perfect perpendicular without breaking a sweat. I can't. :lol
This one's just got two green x-mas tree lights facing opposite directions for lighting. I could definitely fiddle with mirrors and possibly even LEDs (if I have the time, patience, and success in practice). That way I can avoid the whole 'changing the bulb' issue, which is what compromises the integrity of this thing as it is. It works just fine, but I would not trust it enough to give it to one of the brothers. If I'm doing trades, it is going to be good quality stuff that I can be proud to stamp my name on. That'd be worth waiting a few years, right?

I'll give it some thought, but with finals coming and moving down south this August, I've got a lot of other things to sort out. Hopefully by November everything will be in order and I can think about other media. Each piec of the one I made is about 19mm thick, so if 8 mm can hold it, I'm a happy camper! By then I will have the time to perfect the lighting and such.

Re: Display for Henry's Sonar 'Rang
That'd make an awesome prop. Especially because I haven't seen anyone try one before. I love it when people make props that no one else thought to try.
