Re: Microprene as an under suit?

Keep me posted, as I am in limbo about using my Under Armor....

NeoSkin, do a search on it. Knights Haven Studio's handles it. NyteFyre (Gabriel) is the mastermind behind it....Awesome, I have measurements to him, but Gabe wouldn't be able to get started on mine until end of August...

Hey Tripp, here is a all black 2mm Henderson suit for $60 on Amazon...Back zipper with neckseal....

This suit is the base for my new costume. Really comfortable. So far, I do a lot of sweating in it, but I haven't felt terribly hot.

Only downside: the Henderson suits have LARGE knee pads which aren't conducive to Batman stylings. As I mentioned in another thread, I glued strips of latex over them. The leg armor and knee caps cover most of it.

MxRacer476 - I did a search on NeoSkin and I did not come up with anything. Is there a website?

Lrcrow - I know what you mean. I looked at a Henderson today and noticed the knee pad thing. Was it hard to work around?

Hey Tripp,
Here's a link, scroll down a couple posts to see pics. It's a custom suit, I had to take 22 measurements throughout my body, it's a two piece suit, with tension cords. The upper piece will be similar to a one piece swim suit with long sleeves, that you put the pants on first, then step into the top portion. It has tension cords on it to make it a perfect fit. As I stated, I have measurements turned in since 3rd week of July, mine wont be ready to get started on until the end of August. The NeoSkin is .5mm as well.

Yes and no. The legs and kneecap do a decent job of covering it. But it does make the shins bulkier and less easy to move in.

The only glue I got to work on them was superglue. I first tried rubber adhesive and Goop. Neither one seemed to bond with the Henderson knee pads.

I really like the Microprene suit, I am just having a little issue with the built in knee pads. I have a couple other things I want to check out before I jump on the Henderson suit. Once I have eliminated the other possibilities, I will post back about this.

Yes. It looks like DavidYR1 is still planning on doing an under suit so I will be holding out for that. I can say that if I had not found that out, I would have gone with the microprene from Henderson.
