Hey there JBrown. Did i hallucinate that in the first picture we got of the new suit, you could see (barely) two rows of fins, making it six per gauntlet?

Either way, I don't think they can pop out like Jango Fett's (Think battle at Kamino in AOTC), The gauntlets aren't bulky enough for that. Anyway, I'd go for functionality. Its clear that some will eventually make (and sell probably) TDK gauntlets that don't have that functional feature. Yours will stand out.

Yeah I just need to figure out how to make them functional. I'm not quite sure how to approach that.

I don't know much about all this prop making whosiwhatsit, but one idea would be to have the fins lie down like a part in your hair. It could get pretty intricate, but you could have them clip down and spring up with a button or switch of some sort.
That's all I've got for now. I'll keep thinking about it though, because that'd be sweet.

Jon,
Is there any room in the gauntlets for a pin and rod system, you could put the fins on pins and weld them to a rod. As the rod is moved it will move the fins up and down. Kinda like a door hinge!
Just a random thought. Ill take a little time and put some thought and reasearch into it!

It's not two rows, the fins have a raised center ( I wanted to make a pair, so I stared at the pics for ages)

As for the folding fins, id say go with non folding now, as you can modify it later, and its too nice a sculpt to ruin.
