Here are my "working" blueprints I've been slowly putting together. I believe them to be pretty darn close. (in the close up version I've even rotated the nuts to the proper angles. :) )

I'll release the final blueprints once I've got it all finished. The construction should be simple enough that anybody could build one. Until then, this should be a good starting point.

Also if any other good reference on the 89 vault is out there I'd love to have it. I haven't found much beyond the film itself and the UK Doc.

WOW! Very nice work. Thanks for showing us and being willing to share more when you're done.

I can't wait to get back onto this project. I am working on Wolverine's claws, mini-Batman diorama, and a replica Indiana Jones costume.

Man, I have too many costumes! hahaha

I've been considering doing a Returns cave. Mainly because I working on a Returns batsuit but also because it's a simpler design.

Re: Batman 89 (or Returns) Bat-Costume Vault Question

I have been given permission to "borrow" half of a full-wall closet we have down stairs..... the doors blend in with the wall.

I thought about putting my suit in there with an overhead light triggered by th door opening and have the gadgets and stuff in foam on the inside of the door like the 89/92 vault.....

At this stage, it's staying in my bedroom closet. Reason being, it's gonna be one of the first things I grab on the way out in case of a fire. :lol

Re: Batman 89 (or Returns) Bat-Costume Vault Question

Thanks everybody. It'll be a while until I start actual construction but it'll get done. Too many projects and so little time.

The Returns vault/cave is cool but a little over the top compared to the 89 version.

The draw bridge seems kinda goofy but is nice and dramatic. The bat computer is actually built into the rock in Returns and it looks a little to "Disneyland attraction" for me.

The 89 stuff has that raw industrial style that I really dig.

Re: Batman 89 (or Returns) Bat-Costume Vault Question

I've been crazy busy with work for a while now but I hope to be able to dedicate some time to Bat projects sometime this summer.

I have been able to work on the vault blueprints a little.

--Log in or sign up to see linked image content--

They are getting pretty close. One correction here leads to another there and now all the elements are starting to match up with all the different angled photos.

I'm sure once I actually start building the damn thing I'll run into a whole bunch of problems I would have never thought about beforehand.

I've also got all the gadgets to build to fill up the door as well!

Not enough hours in the day...
