I know the feeling. Actually happened while the local TV crew was filming me during an event. :lol
The clip they aired was jsut a "blink-and-miss" thing, but just as it cut off, my head jerked back. :embarassed

I've been wondering this, as I've been considering getting/making a cape with the same look as The Batman has.
Exactly. It looks so cool when he's got the cape wrapped all the way around and the tips spread out on the ground like a starburst.

Re: question about wearing long capes
It's been my experience, working on film/video projects, that the extra long cape is used olny when it needed for a specific shot(s). A practical cape doesn't touch the floor. The two main reasons for this is, as mentioned, tripping, stepping on, ect. But mostly because if your cape drags it will get very dirty and torn up. You then have to replace it. My advice is to not worry about copying what you've seen in films, where 3 or 4 different sizes are used, but make what will be practical for real life wearability. (think I just made up a word there)

Re: question about wearing long capes
Trust me, extra long capes are a pain the rear! If it's for a photo, then great. But to walk aropund in, especially when you are in an event, forget it!
Which reminds me, I gotta make a motorcycle friendly cape so that it won't get caught in my rear wheel!

Re: question about wearing long capes
The fine art of cape flipping! Or is that cow tipping?
It still confuses me.
