Plasti Dip - Spray vs. Dip

Hi there bros, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind would be best to use.

Also, can it be used on a wetsuit undersuit to gradually reduce the armor as it moves round to the back? You know, adding it but reducing the amount gradually to thin the armor as I move round to the back of the suit?

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.

That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile way and you have their shoes

Most of us here use the spray can variety. We're normally using it to coat a product and not cast anything so the spray is the way to go. Not sure if others are using the dip or what they'd use it for.

I really didn't do too much with the back of the [sign in to see URL]'s hot enough without adding yet another layer of insulation. The cape covers the back anyhow....

But, [sign in to see URL] can!!

Dip dries almost as soon as it hits the air. Impossible to work with. Stick mit der spray.

Spray is definitely the way to go :up When I made my first (one-shot) costume in '95, all that was available was the liquid form. If you thin it with naptha, it brushes on fairly smooth, but ya gotta be careful of the fumes! It worked, but spray PlastiDip would've been so much easier, and it leaves you with a nice finish, as shiny or matte as you like! emoticon

I have never used it before but is it correct that the first coat dries matt and further coats make it glossy?

It's distance that does the trick... closer gets a glossier surface, pulling farther back gives it a matte finish.

I've only ever used the matt spray so it doesn't matter how many coats you put on its always matt. I use a black lyrca undersuit but it is shiny so I sprayed around the knees and elbow regions ( the parts that are still visible under the armor) with the matt plasti dip. it worked really well to get rid of the shine.

Like Liam said go with the spray. The only problem is I don't know if you have a Lowe's or Home Depot in Scotland!
