First Latex Cowl Pull - Pics Pgs. 1 & 3
Finally, after what seems like forever, I pulled my first cowl out of the mold today!
While not perfect, I'm pleased with how it came out. Here's some pix of it after being cleaned, trimmed and Dremmeled some:
There are some minor issues with this cowl:
-several air bubbles, which I'm working on now (and future pulls will get better now that I know what I'm doing!)
-still working to clean up the seam line
-the neck is a little short (won't be a problem- I'm adding foam to build up my shoulders, so the cowl won't 'float' above them)
It fits my 24" head very comfortably (might even go a bit bigger), and once I pad out the shoulders and have a cape on, it should work quite well. Still needs PlastiDipping, of course. Overall, for my first cowl, I'm pretty damn happy with it! :bounce
I'm going to try to cast a second one in the next few days, then I'll be out of latex. I know some of you guys expressed an interest in this cowl, so I'd like to know who might like one of these (assuming you like how it looks when finished). Not asking for a commitment, just trying to get an idea of who is interested.
As soon as I get the first one PlastiDipped, I'll put it on and post some more pix. Hope ya'll like it.

Re: FIRST LATEX COWL- First Pull PIX!
Thanks guys! I want to get it looking more finished before I post pix of me wearing it. I gotta admit, when I put it on for the first time and looked in the mirror . . . well I'd forgotten what it felt like to wear the cowl, especially the first time. :batman

Re: FIRST LATEX COWL- First Pull PIX!
efarrell4, if you have a 24" melon like mine, it'll fit great. With just a little baby powder, it goes on and off very easily. There's a little room to spare, so it might fit a head a bit bigger; unfortunately, I don't know anybody close by with a bigger head.
And thanks for the compliments, ya'll.
