Eye Makeup Options
Anyone have a good source for black eye black for around your eyes under the cowl? I have worn the regular run-of-the-mill stuff but it tends to run when the sweat kicks in. I am specifically looking for a good makeup that will not run when you sweat. Thanks.

Re: Best makeup for around the eye
I use the sports eye-black stuff that comes in a lipstick type applicator tube. It works pretty well for me... Others have used the black camo pack stuff used by hunters and paintballers for camouflage. Still others have said that the really expensive, high quality clown and stage makeup is the best.
What have you already tried that is not working for you?

I used grimas grease creme for the Joker.
Ihad it on for 9hrs straight no problems.
I finished it off with a transluscent powder and a barrier spray on top of that.
It didn't go nowhere after that!

Re: Best makeup for around the eye
I used black liquid latex and black eyeliner (for the skin right next to the eyelashes).
You have to be very careful in the application process so you don't get any in your eyelashes, but it wont run and when you take off your cowl you can just peel it right off.

Re: Best makeup for around the eye
Darius- isn't that a bit dangerous? Or is it just like the fetish body latex? Seems safe enough if you have no allergy.... the skin in that area doesn't have a medical need to "breathe" so I think I'll try it!
--- Warning- contents under pressure. Do not open without eye protection. Keep away from open flame. Refer to user manual for compatability with other products. Do not remove this tag under penalty of law!

It's the make-up grade liquid latex.
You can get small bottles of it that have a brush applicator attached to the lid at any of those seasonal Halloween stores. You could order it through the net as well, but I don't suit up often enough to buy more than one bottle a year, so I've never looked for an online source.
Only dangers are if:
- you get it in your eyes
- you get it in your eyelashes
- you are allergic to latex
Another plus to it is the color/shine/finish will match the cowl perfectly.

I use Ben Nye theatrical makeup..... it's expensive, but the long-term usage is worth it. :up

Sports eye black. Cheap easy to come by and works. The only downfall is getting it off. But it won't run when sweating.
