Sitting Down In Rubber Suits

Is there anyone here who can sit down in their rubber movie suit?

I'm afraid of ripping the tops of the legs off the suit. Is it possible to sit in one of these contraptions?

Let me know what you do when you need to go for a car ride in your suit (not driving, I know-not a good idea).

Sitting is really tough - especially if you have an all in one piece facade. It might make it a little easier if it were strategically cut or cast separately (like some of the bros make) into the leg and cod pieces. Urethane, from what I hear, is more flexible than latex, so that's an option. Other than that, all you can do is glue it down the best you can, let it flex, and hope for the best. Also, try to make sure that you have enough leg room when you sit to kind of sit on the edge of the chair so that your legs angle down a bit, thus keeping the rubber from crinkling as much. Other than that, keep on standing...

I usually try to ride in an SUV or van when I have to ride in the suit. That way you at least don't have to get down into a seat - it's MUCH easier to just kind of slide in or step up into your seat. And whatever you do, DO NOT try to drive with your cowl on!!!! :geez :wink (Voice of experience...) I have, however, driven with the rest of the suit on without a ton of difficulty. I'll admit, it's not the most comfortable thing to do, but it works OK.

I can sit down relativly easily in my begins Luda suit. Which was quite a novelty for me as i'm used to VERY limited movement in the Clonetrooper and Boba Fett :toocool
I was a bit wary at first but had to sit to squeeze on my boots :surprise

I've had a Vader suit, and its a cakewalk compared to my Begins suit. My parts are from Bob D, they don't look as flexible to me from what I can tell from pics of Luda's stuff. I guess I'll test my limits tonight. :lol If all else fails I'll just stand for the movie like Brin did for Begins.

It's not so much the material (in regard to latex and urethane anyway; silicone and foam are in another league) as it is the way they are designed. Might have been better to strategically cut them for ease of movement before gluing them down. But that can also affect the overall look. It's a trade-off.

That's the beauty of a comic style, I can do yoga in mine, not that I'd do that, again.

Mine is pretty thick latex. I *think* I could sit in it if I took the belt off... I think. That seems to be the problem with mine, the thick belt is right when I bend at.
