Re: So who DIDN'T like the new film? **SPOILERS**

i dont think there are many who didnt like it.

it was so good the audience actually started clapping once it was done.

thats impressive, i have never been to see a film where that happened before today.

A lady I've worked with for over 12 years with my corporate accounts actually HATES the movie because she believes The Joker was " way overdone", "the film editing was BAD" and "the continuity from scene to scene was poor" and a few other things.

Can you friggin' believe it? Someone actually HATES the movie. At first I thought she was kidding me. She sees ALL action / adventure / hero movies on the first weekend they are playing.

I told her my small complaints about the movie, but overall it's the best movie we've seen this year, even above Iron Man (which just needed another 10 or 15 minutes of Iron-Man-suited-up-and-in-ACTION-scenes).

I posted my comments about this great movie in the "I just saw TDK!" Spoiler Thread

That would be only the 3rd person I've heard of that didn't like it. And the other 2 are members here. :lol

I thought the movie was swell but I can't understand why it's top dog or what all the hoopla's about. Certainly not enough comics nerds to make it box office champ in only 6 days. It's not much different than any big star shoot'em'up except the hero doesn't kill 50 baddies with a big gun and NO sex scenes.

It's really Batman characters in a Bronson, Arnold, Norris, Segal, etc type movie. NOT the movie of movies and NOT the best Batman....Dead End is the best Batman movie!

I liked the first Keaton Batman more than this one except TDK has a better Joker.

I retract everything negative I said about this movie. Yes everything, even Bale's voice.

One of my friends didn't like this movie as much as '89. Honestly, I think people who say that are biased. I can't comment about that because I grew up with the Animated Series, not '89, and I'm biased towards TAS. I, on the other hand, really loved this movie; but for it to be considered perfect in my book there would have been 2 (maybe 2.5) things I'd have changed:

1. Batman's Voice - I don't mind it... well, I didn't mind it. Until the scene where Batman is talking to Fox in that computer room thing. The voice was too gravelly there. Batman should have just dropped it.

Conroy's voice for Batman is simply deeper. It's more angry, more realistic. His voice for Bruce Wayne is more ignorant and content. A perfect match for Batman and his alter ego. Bale's Bruce Wayne voice is good, just his american accented voice. His Batman voice though is a bit too scratchy. Too much like an obvious disguise.

2. The scene at the end with the sonar technology. I thought the white eyes were perfect, but they over-used the sonar special effect.

Other than that, I don't know if I'd change anything. Maybe i'd have made Two-Face live (although it's up for question whether he died) or I'd have made Batman do a tiny bit more detective work. But I can happily say that whether or not Two-Face died, and whether or not they make a third Batman movie, I am VERY happy with The Dark Knight.

I didn't hate it but it is overhyped.

The movie was too long with too many characters being fit in.

Bale's voice and face sounded and looked retarded in the Batman character.

Maggie G is a dog and looks like Eleanor Roosevelt on a bad day, I would have preferred Holmes.

The sonar bit was over used and confusing.

Ledger was over used and could have had a bit more edited out. His voice and constant lip licking made the charactor more annoying than menacing.

Batman Begins had a much better storyline.

This was definitely more of a thinking movie than I thought.
Almost too much going on at times that it lost me in several areas. I found myself saying, "wait.....what just happened!?..." quite a few times.

I definitely need to see this again to get a full comprehension of all the events.
