Begins Style Gauntlets.

I forgot to post anything about this while I was sculpting them, so I thought I'd post some pix. The fins were sculpted and cast separately.

My gauntlet:

and with gloves:

And then I was able to trim them down, and chop the fins down to make Batgirl gauntlets:

and with her gloves:

They're cast in latex and PlastiDipped, so the fins are stiff but soft and they're held on by velcro. Very comfortable to wear, I might add and much lighter than my old ones, which were vinyl-covered fiberglass with balsa fins.

What do ya'll think?

Awesome work. Did you make the fins hollow or did you make them with a "solid" core?

Thanks guys! They're mostly solid. The outer half is sold, the base is hollow, but fairly thick. It took about a day and a half to pour a set of fins; pour a coat, let it dry, repeat, etc. Since my fin sculpt came out of the mold relatively intact, I'm gonna make another mold to move it along a little faster.
