Re: Joker 1989 Ver. One + Materials question page 2
I personally would think silicone or foam latex would work best.
that's just me, though....

Re: Joker 1989 Ver. One + Materials question page 2
I don't know about urethane, but brushing in thin layers of slip latex would work well. Thicker in the middle for strength and solidity, getting very thin, almost transparent at the edges for gluing and blending.

Re: Joker 1989 Ver. One + Materials question page 2
you can't make urethane facial prosthetics...
if your molds are plaster, the urethane will lock itself in them, and ruin the molds.
DON'T DO IT!!!
brush on latex is your best bet- it'll teach you the tricks of the trade.

Re: Joker 1989 Ver. One + Materials question page 2
yeah- dragon skin should work well. i used some basic molding silicone for the mask in my avatar, and it is really easy to release from the mold. only problem:
you have to get the skintite or prosaid because the silicone won't stick with spirit gum or the like...

Re: Joker 1989 Ver. One + Materials question page 2
Id love to use dragon skin. I wanna make a suit with it some day, less work than foam latex.
This is looking great, I saw a bust like that on ebay a while back. Forgot to bid on it but maybe another comes around.
Good luck with this :up
