I've got to agree...don't know if I could bring myself to actually cut the cowl. Very cool tutorial Paul.

Pics of my hybrid similar concept. Doesn't hold a candle to the Master emoticon
Not worhty...not worthy...
The neck piece is a Kevlar reinforced police style neck protector. Still WIP.

Now that I've got a practice, I'll give it a go when my Begins cowl ever arrives someday.

Thanks Paul, much has been learned from you.

Its going to be a hard decision when I get my new cowl, cut up my J cowl like this or trade it off.

You guys are so funny. Thanks everyone.

Look at it this way if it doesn't work do another one and sell the other one or have two versions. These are just suggestions. I certainly do not want anyone to regret a decision.

I know when I had my first Indiana Jones Jacket I definitely wanted it all scuffed up and perfectly aged. I thought to myself I love it so much I can not afford to take the chance of messing it up if I get it wrong or something so before I touched it I bought another one and then I felt safe to do what I wanted and now I like the scuffed up one better and it is the only one I wear. I wear the other for personal use and when I got my first few scuffs on it suddenly it was marred in my opinion instead of perfect. It would take me 20 years or an entire real Indiana Jones adventure to get this one looking how the other one looks but the point is that by having two it gave me the confidence to do what I wanted and now I am glad.

Paul
