Dude. Looking it over again I think you look great in the costume. VERY FEW people have the Keaton "lip" look. I think it looks great on you and kudos to the makers of the cowl and armor.

I simply love what you have done with the place. Heavy Metal meets House and Garden. Not many people can be a Summer and Winter. But you pull it off nicely.

I honestly don't know how you could look much better, or screen accurate for that matter. the only thing is that there were two cowls, a short eared one, and a long eared one. As others have said, you got the facial look as well.
Also, on the original cowl setup, there were some thin sheets of aluminum they used to give him a "squarer" jaw. They placed them inside the foam around the jaw. Not sure if they had gotten to using the ear cones. On Batman returns they had the ears hollow, and there were plastic cones to keep the ears from going "boing" when he walked. i.e. wiggling. I'm gona say on 89' the ears were solid and they used a thick wire to keep the ears from wiggling, but not sure. Reason for all that was cause' they ran foam so darn dense in those days.

Hey thanks guys! And Bob, always been a huge fan of your work big guy. :pics

I have both your long ear and short ear cowls. :up
If memory serves me correct, the long eared cowl was used prior to the Batmobile scene where Keaton's head had trouble fitting in the canopy due to the long ears, so they had to shorten them for it to work? :-]

I'm really happy with this cowl and suit you made. I should have it all put together before July gets here. I'll come back with pictures with all of it on, then. =]

Thanks again and keep rockin/inspiring!

ps. the aluminum sheets in the jaw thing is very interesting! I'm sure there were tons of movie magic secrets in the 89 suit. I wish I knew em' all.

the most famous is the part where you finally get in the suit. cape bolted to chest(12 bolts) cowl on and glued to cape. gloves, boots your' all in it. now... you have to go potty...... hence the invention of the two part suit. torso, legs separate.
I found it actually the most difficult suit to put together. but it still has the most mojo.

LOL I remember Keaton talking about the Returns suit having some kind thing going where he was able to go to the restroom while doing a scene and said that in a certain scene, he was actually "going". lol Im sure he was joking.... or maybe.

I was thinking about installing an invisible zipper right underneath the cup area of the legs. ...hmmm. :embarassed
