Re: Custom made fabric - electrostatically flocked parachute silk

i've been wondering all about this myself. I'm glad some highly dedicated bros. have undertaken the job. What's the difference between electrostatic flocking and just normal flocking where you cover something in glue, then dust it with flock?

The electrostatic current makes every single fibre stand on end so that they all sit perpendicular to the surface they are being attached to. Makes the flocked surface more full and plush.
Any other method the flock could sit on its end or laying down flat. No consistency to the flocked surface.

Got to see the newer fabric sample today finally. Much lighter. I think it could work. But only way to tell is to have a full cape made up and see how it hangs. Hopefully soon...

I'll have to go back to the images to find the dog....like waldo kinda....I was so entranced by that AMAZING cape !!! I'm totally in when this gets rolling. emoticon

On a side note, my pup would be using the cape as a chew toy rather than a bed :lol love that pup
