Re: tdk cowl in foam/urethane paint

to answer if I tested the paint on something else, no, I've actually been painting foam for almost 15 years, but I have fried many a nice foam piece by getting too close to the piece with the auto gun. it took me quite a while to get it down. The mixture of paint to thinner is important, and the distance from the gun to the piece is critical. an auto gun with a 1ft. dispersion is imperative for getting on an even coat.

also, neck stuff will be in foam. This cowl is like a facial appliance, when you move, it moves.

Well, I can't make my computer see my camera's SD card.

Unfortunately, I think my nose must ne way bigger than Bale's or Bob's. The cowl fits my 7 3/8 head perfectly, but my nose makes the cowl nose just look stupid (though it was sculpted perfectly).

The foam is amazing in terms of its comfort, thickness, styling, and design.

The color is indeed perfectly black in all normal lighting conditions, but appears a bit gray under REALLY bright lighting or harsh flash.

The one in those pics is mine, but I think my face and my schnoz is too big for it.

Re: tdk cowl in foam/urethane paint

The nose part is an easy fix.
Get a pair of sharp ginger scissors. they are good because you can get nice cuts from just the tips. go into where the nostril holes are in the inside, and trim it down. basically trim the wall thickeness of the nostril hole area. That will fix that. The face might be a harder one. Keep the chin part towards the front of your chin. I have to do that because i have a sort of round face. Bale has a very angular chisled face.
