My V2 Joker Scars!!! (New Method!)
COPIED FROM THE RPF
Alright guys! Picture time! My silicone scars didn't work well as i couldn't get the edges to work out and I didn't have all the proper materials at the time of application.
SO, I used some Bondo-Transfers... This was a first time use of this material for me so let me know what you think!
I then threw the makeup on over these to see what it would look like. I'm unhappy with this makeup job as I had to do it with rubber mask grease paints, a sponge, and a q-tip...
These are just to show how the makeup looks over the transfers. I'm going to be doing another photo shoot utilizing a pair of transfers on another friend in NY who looks just like Heath so I'll get pics up then.
At that point I'll have my aquacolor makeup back and can do a makeup job that looks more like this one (on the same model as above)

Re: My V2 Joker Scars!!! (New Method!)
The application is very similar but the material itself is much cheaper. The prep time and work behind the creation of the pieces is a little tough to get correct but it's the very next best thing to having the pieces from set.
Also, they're a one time use piece which is a downside as well.

Re: My V2 Joker Scars!!! (New Method!)
Thanks! I removed the lower lip as I used the transfer papers the wrong way and messed it up but there will be another, better done photoshoot when I get back to school. I am also making these scars available. Email me if interested woody21288(at)yahoo(dot)com

Re: My V2 Joker Scars!!! (New Method!)
Very nice. When you say Bondo transfer, do you mean that you make a mold, and then cast it in Bondo? Excuse my ignorance, I've never made prothetics like this, but I've made some other ways, and after seeing the end result, am very interested in learning more. Do you still use liquid latex to blend in the edges? What about the glue down process? Do you use spirit gum, or proths-aid? How is the flexibility? Good work, bro, and thanks-

Re: My V2 Joker Scars!!! (New Method!)
Prosthetic bondo isn't like automotive bondo, it's literall pros-aide mixed/thickened with cabosil. This thickened glue is put into a flat silicone mold with a piece of acetate over it and squeegeed flat so that it's stuck to the acetate. It's then frozen overnight and the silicone mold is peeled off the pieces which are left on the acetate to dry (which takes FOREVER) THEN, when your ready for app. you stipple a little pros-aide over the piece all the way to the edge, lay a piece of transfer paper over it to stick on, and peel of the acetate. The piece is then put on the face with the transfer paper still attached. Since the piece is all glue, it sticks by itself. The paper is then SOAKED with water and slides off like a temp. tatoo. The edges are BEAUTIFUL right away and only need a SLIGHT brush of alcohol to disolve the glue edge to the skin. No latex, no spirit gum, no adhesive beyond the piece itself, it can be tinted as these were, etc. Great stuff, just complicated and VERY time consuming.

Not only do those look great, but you actually look a lot like Heath without the makeup on.
