Re: cape harness hardware questions 89'
The top things they used to got the cape hold at the 2 single harness plates were simply normal pop rivets with washers. They did not used chicago screws for that area.

Re: cape harness hardware questions 89'
The chicago screws go through the smaller outer holes. Mine has the backs mounted into the harness so when I put it on they go through the chest then through the cape plates then finally through the cowl emblem area where I put the screws in to secure it all down. Hope that helps.

Re: cape harness hardware questions 89'
Guido, I should have asked you since this was yours =)
Thanks guys for the help. Looks like I'll need these Pop rivets and tool for the outer rivets that attach directly onto the cape.

Absolutly no problem and yes that are the correct pop rivets that you have to use in combination with the washers.

Make sure to get rivets with the wider flange. As far as I know, they're not stocked at Lowes/Home Depot- you'll have to go to Ace Hardware. Their prices on rivets / rivet guns are cheaper too, which is a bonus.

Re: cape harness hardware questions 89'
I found Chicago screws at leather stores. Tandy leather is one that I found them at.
