Re: Cape Pattern Idea
to remove all those folding marks, you could (ironically) leave the cape in the bathroom while taking a shower. The steam should take care of it. Be sure to take a picture of it outside at night time and day time, to see how this faux suede reacts to light. This is something I may consider, especially if I get a BB UD Suit and don't want to get it wet!!

Re: Cape Pattern Idea
adding a tail is a nice idea. But actually alot of bats dont have a pointed tail like that. So that first photoshop design was cool too.

Re: Cape Pattern Idea
Got it back today. Looks good. I'm still not completely sold on the pattern I used. Just need to sew some velcro on, and tomorrow I'll get a pic or 2 of the cape attached to my jacket. I was able to irom most of the fold-creases, so no need to shower the shower curtain.
Indakin, next one I do will be done in sections, and probably won't have a tail.

Re: Cape Pattern Idea
Got the velcro tabs sewn on last night. Here's a couple shots of it outside, in direct sunlight. I'll try to suit up later to see how it looks when worn.

Re: Cape Pattern Idea
Some pics. Sorry for the poor picture quality, and lack of eye-black.

Re: Cape Pattern Idea*pictures added*
The cape worked out pretty well for the Fan Expo. I had lots of complimnets, and a big one from David
The material is so light, it doesn't feel like anything is there. And it's so big, when I was walking down the street, it was blowing waay in front of me--pretty cool.
If it was a bit darker, it would have been perfect.

Shower curtains! Great idea. I had a question? Did the seamstres sew a plead around the bottom edges of the cape too so it wont fray?

I saw it in person, the pics don't do it justice. It looked epic.

Re: Cape Pattern Idea*pictures added*
Looks really good. The length looks ideal for the suit and seems to hang nicely.

Re: Cape Pattern Idea*pictures added*
Haha! Thanks guys.
Yup, the seamstress went all around the outside of the cape so it wont fray. It only cost me $22. I was surprised.
