It's worth trying mate it really is. I said before that I was doubtful about using this stuff in the beginning but that was a mistake, it's a good material. It has it's limits no doubt but I've seen some really impressive costumes made from it.
The shin/boot armor may be on the cards at some point. The next thing I'm making for someone is a belt buckle fascia.
