what do u think? should i try to make the lift/rotating work?
If it were me, I'd make it static, maybe halfway up like in the movie still.

Re: batcave 1/25 project
its been quiet for a while in here! but since the batmobile is done i can focus on this build! its going to be step by step! first im going to replicat only the turntable! so the batmobile has something to sit on! is there an artwork existing? topdown picture i can use as reference? it would help a lot! otherise....frame by frame analysis is so.....!
2. stage will be the mechanics of rotation and lift! i have an idea about that, but thats not even on paper. just in my head!

Re: batcave 1/25 project
this looks like quite the undertaking. Looking forward to more photos.
I remember a 1/64 scale to match Corgi cars from years ago and it was HUGE!

Re: batcave 1/25 project
maybe its going to be to huge, but no pain no gain!
here is an pic to understand the technik behind the turntable!
the bright blue is the cylindrical liftshaft! the red motor spins the table (lightgrey)!
the blue rod is the lift-spindle which get rotated by the green motor! when the spindle rotates, it will lift/lower the arm, which holds the platform and the spinner-motor through a slit in the shaft!

Re: batcave 1/25 project
oh boy! now i have startet something!
dont expect something not even final too soon! i have to make the funktional parts working first, before i can start building cavewalls and such!
i have to make a list by searching through stuff which is available to me and see how that works together and so!
ill expect alot of try and error!
talking about huge:
this pic shows the dimensions fron a turnable the batmobile can rest on in full length!
at the moment, its presented on a turntable where the big backfin overlaps compleatly!
another cool idea, even if its not movieacurate, is an mechanical iris, which closes, when the batmobile is lowered!

Re: batcave 1/25 project
me again!
i was handdrawing a bit of the turntable by using one or two good reference picture found with google
i was concentrating on only 2 of the eight panels because they repeat anyway!
now i could need a good fotoshop artist who can make this full around and looking good!
i have an lowcost equivalent of fotoshop called gimp, but i have a lack of talentet hands with this! lol
