Re: Classic comic batman Belt (costume to follow)
I had to sand a curve into the base of the fins so that they sat on the armoured wrist guard i had made out of modelling plastic.

Re: Classic comic batman Belt (costume to follow)
I heated up a piece of plastic in boiling water then wrapped it inside a large metal cocktail shaker and waited for it to cool down. I did this twice for each arm and doubled up the plastic by glueing two pieces together, this should make the guard stronger and stop the curve from straightening up.

Re: Classic comic batman Belt (costume to follow)
I drilled a hole in each fin and sunk a nut into the base.

Re: Classic comic batman Belt (costume to follow)
I used a hole punch in the leather glove and poked the bolts through the plastic gaurd and the lether then scewed the fins down.

Re: Classic comic batman Belt (costume to follow)
I tried spraying on some muscle definition with a can of fabric spray paint but the spray wasn't very consistant so it was hard to get a realistic effect. I think next time I'll use an air brush but I'll practice on t shirts instead of going straight onto the suit like I did with this attempt, doh!

Re: Classic comic batman Belt (costume to follow)
This is a pic from Halloween before I tried spraying muscles on. The suit is wet as it had been raining.
