Love that 'rang! And the mini-rangs too, for that matter.

No Bill, Im not tired of your questions. I kinda wish people asked more questions. Lol. Yes the batarang is 3 layers of .030 styrene sheets, then a layer added to each side to give it its some what 3D effect. As for the buckle after I glued all the layers of just the outline of the buckle together, then heated it. Remember to let it completly cool while in the position you want it to stay in.

I picked some up and started working with it. Great recommendation. I'm working on a buckle for my 10 cartridge belt first. I used 3 pieces of .040 styrene and it might be little thick. Its an amalgamation of the Justice league belt buckle, the cartoon one in Young Justice and my first foamie buckle. Not sure about it yet, but I'll post up later.

Maybe I'll start a thread, but I thought I'd share with you my progress so far -- thanks to your help.

Not satisfied with what I found on ebay, I thought I'd build from scratch. I've had an idea in my mind, but was never sure if I would like the execution. Like I said, it was really a mixture of ideas:

So I picked up some styrene, mostly .040 and got to work. After cutting, glueing and sanding, it started to take shape. Again the idea was to have something with a proportion that fit the belt gap. The three sections still need to be glued together. The base is 3 layers of .040. The middle section is 2 layers, with the surface layer having a grooved texture that you can't see in the pic. I hope to give it an etched look that will helpt set it off. Then the bat is 1 layer of thin .020, but it is smooth like the base.

And here it is lying on the belt along the gap in the back. This way, I don't have to place it over the actual buckle which makes it protrude too far. I'll just buckle it in the back. My plan is to paint it in a metallic color, probably similar to the Adam West or Justice League belt. The yellow buckle never looks right on this style of belt. After I shape it a little and paint it, I'll begin working on that all yellow belt...

Best thing about this board. Always great ideas floating around! And I have to second Lewis -- that is an awesome homemade belt. One which I plan to replicate of course!
