Looks cool. I like the second eye shape. I'd like to see a better pic.

Okay so I gave this white eyes thing another shot. Looks better I think. I know they are not straight, they are just taped in place to see how they look.

I think I can work with these.
I also painted my son's gauntlets and hand guards.

Working on his new mask. Almost done, post pics later tonight.

White eyes on a cowl can be tricky. They usually just don't look right. But I think you got it. Looks great and really fits the Neal Adams style.

I'd love to see someone sculpt a cowl with eyes shaped just like that.

Thanks Ed! I can see out of them just fine. Vision is better than I expected. I have to redo one eye. I left my cowl sitting on the bed and the wife totally crushed one.

Thank you gentlemen for the kind words.
Sorry progress has been a bit slow. So yesterday I started on a new cape. I know, I know. Some of you are thinking, "NOT ANOTHER CAPE!" Yes another cape. I've always wanted to try and do a latex cape. So that's the plan for this cape. The endgame is to see how good I can make it look with the cowl as one piece. Before I got started I made a new pattern. My old one, ( after I remeasured it) found it wasn't symmetrical. This is the new one.
]--Log in or sign up to see linked image content--.

This time around I was able to cut the entire 14 panels with fabric left to spare.
]--Log in or sign up to see linked image content--.

Well I got all the panels sewn together and it completely covers me. I'll take pictures outside of it tomorrow.

Alright, after a lot of sewing and putting a crap load of fray check on, this is where I am at with the new cape.
]--Log in or sign up to see linked image content--
This one is a total of 14 panels. As you can see, it fully covers me. Sorry for the mess in the back. As of right now my bedroom is doubling as my workshop also.
]--Log in or sign up to see linked image content--

I'll be ordering latex tomorrow so maybe this weekend I can proceed.

Thank you! Fray check is what you use when you don't have a serger sewing machine. You put it on the seams so the fabric doesn't continue to unravel. It's a pain but has to be done.

Cool! I am new to sewing so I am not familiar with that but I'm sure I will have to make myself friends with it when I do my own cape.

Hm this could be interesting. The latex cape is always a cool idea :up . How are you planning on doing it? I mean are you going to lay it down on a tarp outside and roll it on? or is this a pour and brush type of job?

I bought 4 pattern cutting boards and 2 big plastic drop clothes. I'm going to lay them down in my driveway, lay the cape flat and roll on the latex.
