future batman - concept for costume
so, i posted this over at the rpf, and people told me to come here and post it :)
my inspiration were different armored versions of batman, all incorporated, altered or inspired by them. special thanks goes out to faraz mobin and his desert storm batman, as most of the stuff is from his version, modified to fit to the general concept of the suit
i will build this as a costume, but it will take some time as im quite busy with university and stuff, but its definitely on my to do list
so here are some pics:
perspective view of the helmet. im going for a full helmet as i thought thats probably more realistic with an armored bat suit. why armor the whole body if you still can get shot in the face
side view:

whole body with wings:
the plan is to make the wings detachable, i also have a caped version, because i can see slight logistic problems wearing those wings at a con  but for contests, etc, its definitely wings
theres also some small gimmicks i want to incorporate in the suit, as you can see the gloves are not the same left and right. the left forearm will have a slidein for a smartphone, so you have kindof a screen in your arm. it will also go to headphones in the helmet, so you can receive calls etc, and use something like Siri to do neat stuff via voice activation :)
the thing below the chin is a small speaker (which is just a thought for now, not sure on this one), which might be used as a voice scrambler
the bat symbols, in the shoulder pieces, belt, and chest will be light up, also some minor details, but the general suit is all black.

Welcome to the cave!
I LOVE this design. And, as cool as it is already, I think it would look even better with a cape instead of the wings. But that's just me.
I really look forward to seeing progress on this.

Welcome to the batcave bro,
The design is excellent, I'm not too keen on the green though, unless it's a GL bman it's fine. I do think red would be more fitting.

Awesome design, I can't wait to see the execution. I too agree that I'd change the lights from green to either red or blue. The green just feels a little too GL for some reason, but that's a minor quibble.

I liked the helmet when I started scrolling, but really got psyched about the entire armor and wing configuration. Third the motion of using red or blue instead of green for highlights. Overall, very intimidating.
