thanks man. they're both reissues. the white one is a Johnny Ramone Ventures Mark II and the blue is a '65 that Semi's daughter helped build. it has her own hand-wound pickups and they are killer! one of the best guitars i've ever played.

'Sweet Fender amp!
'Nice axe choices, too.
Many of us love The Bat and guitars, too.
A fine quality. :up

that amp was quite the find. it's a Fender Tonemaster. not a whole lot of them out there. when i decided i wanted one, it took a LOT of searching to find ANY, let alone one in mint condition. i absolutely love it. coming from playing Marshall JCM stuff, it's got the beef and well, duh, the TONE.

Re: guitars and other things you play

Pretty cool thread.

I've been playing guitar for well over 40 years, and played low brass in school.

I gigged off and on for over 20 years, but as I got older and it began to get harder to get up the morning after, I started to concentrate on building guitars.

Here are a few of the ones I've built. Some I've kept for myself, and some were commissioned builds ...

Aged Pink Paisley, my own pattern and finishing technique:

Green Paisley La Cabronita:

Blue Sparkle with Blue Paisley pickguard:

Sonic Blue early 60s style:

Vintage White 70s style:

Burgundy Mist hybrid:

Custom "Blackhawks" model:

Orange Sparkle Paisley:

And the one that brought me to this forum in the first place, The Batocaster:

There are many more but I don't want to hog the thread. There's a gallery on my website, www.marksoundguitars.com .

Thanks for looking. :)

Primarily a drummer here, but I also play bass, guitar, and piano.

Here is my main kit: 1985 Pearl Super Pro GLX 6 ply maple kit in piano black lacquer with all Sabian AA, AAX, Signature and Hand Hammered cymbals, and aluminum shell Pearl Quarter Toms. Can you tell I'm a Mike Portnoy fan?

I have 3 other kits and a ton of basses and guitars. I will try to post some more pics later...

Thanks Dave! I think Neil's kit may make mine look silly though... His does wrap all the way around him! LOL! Anyway, I do play lots of Rush and Dream Theater, so I need a large kit to get all of those sounds.

Anyway, here is kit number 2! It's a jellybean kit made up of an 18" GLX floor tom converted to a kick drum, an 8" masters tom, 10" export tom, 13" GLX tom, and a 13" brass shell piccolo snare. Stagg cymbals and a Gibraltar rack. I use this one for drum students and I love to knock around on it. Fun to play! Note the BAT emblem on the bass drum reso head!
