Finally! I've been able to finish off the exhaust and put it away in storage until it's ready to be installed for the last time emoticon

Next will be some chassis and axle clean-up work and then onto the final rear suspension install!

I know you'll be way ahead of me when I suggest a P.A. system for turbine, Browning sfx and other fun.

The neighbours will love it!

I now have the underside of the chassis primed and ready for some seam sealer and paint.

I'll also be heading to the media blaster's to pick up the rear axle and other parts that needed to be cleaned up emoticon

I'm very happy to say that the rear 2/3 of the chassis, from the engine firewall back, is now complete!

That means I'll be able to start the work on final rear assembly of things like suspension, brakes, exhaust etc.. This day has been a long time coming emoticon

I've been able to finish up some more painting and also started some improved electrical service for the shop.

Hopefully I can finish the wiring today and get that rear axle back on the car.

After a couple days of going back and forth to the parts store, the rear axle is now ready and re-installed in the car.

For some reason my rear axle parts on my donor car are slightly different than other cars of the same make, model and year. Lovely...

Next up... Brakes!

The rear suspension is now complete and I'll be moving on to the bazillion parts/springs of the rear drum brake re-build today.

The wiring for the 220 volt service in the shop is finished so I'm now able to work out there in a T-shirt emoticon

Well the driver's side brakes are done but the DAMN emergency brake cable for the passenger side is too short :(

The search begins for a single cable that doesn't break the bank. I need a 14 ft cable to reach.

Be apt if a cable from an 89 UPS/Joker van fits.
Mercedes Sprinter Van would be the modern version.

Rear brakes don't do much of the stopping anyways so I'd rather spend the money on some "toys/gadgets" for the car instead.

Rear Discs vs. New Toys/Gadgets... New Toys/Gadgets win emoticon

I've found a place locally that makes e-brake cables to spec. I'll be visiting them on Monday to see what they will charge me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed

I've also reached another milestone! The rear assembly is now complete (minus that damn e-brake cable) and I've started to move towards the front.

The front suspension disassembly is under way and hopefully I'll soon be prepping it for paint emoticon

Finally I have all the rust on the front end of the chassis removed.

Now it's time for some primer & paint and then front suspension reassembly. I'll also likely clean up the spindles and brakes before reinstalling them.

Well the front end paint work for the chassis is now complete!

I'll let the paint cure for a day or so before assembling the front suspension and I still need to track down a couple bolts for those upper A-arms.

I've been making some progress reassembling the front end of the car now that all that crappy rust removal work is complete.

There are still a few parts that need a bit of paint, but hopefully by the end of today I'll have "most" of the front end assembly finished.

So I finished re-assembling the front end of the BatBerry this weekend emoticon

Thanks, the build is coming along nicely!

This past weekend's work was focused on the interior trim panels. These are the pieces that will eventually be covered either in carpet or vinyl to create a nice finished interior.
